This new multi-purpose centre with all facilities required for indoor

sporting events has provided added value to Our Lady of the

Pines Primary School in Donvale, Victoria.

 

This is a BER project delivered in conjunction with Principal Architects,

Smith + Tracey.

 

The building comprises an office, multi-purpose hall, first aid

room, multi-purpose room, stage, male and female change

rooms and a storage area for the sports equipment.

 

The main structure is constructed with steel frame and precast

panel perimeter walls. Glass curtain walls were installed to the

foyer area and full height windows to the eastern elevation of

the building. The southern wall of the building is covered with

Colorbond cladding. The multi-purpose area fl  oor, stage and

seating areas have polished timber boards. Vinyl fl  ooring to the

wet areas and carpets for other internal areas provide contrast

throughout the new facility.

 

The perimeter of the building is secured with steel fencing.

The newly completed building is open to the community for

sports, social and cultural events.
